We are very excited to be returning to Maker Faire San Diego. It has been an incredible year for us and we can’t wait to be reunited with all our Southern California Maker friends. This year we will be at the Fleet Science Center (MF6), next to the Cardboard Combat Arena. Drop by our booth and see how our Muse hobby laser cutter is adding to the fun of cardboard robot battles.

We came to this year’s Maker-Faire Bay Area with some pretty lofty goals. First and foremost, we wanted to thank the maker community with a special offer on Muse laser cutters. The response was tremendous, with every Muse laser cutter we brought with us going home with a happy hobbyists on the first day. And we note, Muse laser cutters are traveling far and wide, with one going back with its new owner to Hawaii.
One of our most popular laser cutters is the “5th Gen” in our H-Series. It has been our economy-priced workhorse for many years and people are still using them and loving them across the world. That said, we will be phasing out 5th Gen to make room for Hobby Series, the next laser cutter in our line of affordable hobby laser cutters.
As I mentioned in December, we officially unveiled our latest hobby laser cutter, Muse, at CES, Las Vegas. The response was overwhelming. For four days straight we demonstrated Muse to enthusiastic crowds. Seems there is some demand for an affordable laser cutter that targets Makers and the DIY community. Of course, we knew this, but even we were surprised at how much excitement there is.
CES Las Vegas is coming in January and Full Spectrum Laser is proud to present our newest hobby laser cutter, Muse, at the annual event. We have had an amazing year - more people than we could have ever imagined have discovered an interest in hobby lasers - and now, we are pleased to announce Muse is ready to meet that demand.
Although using a hobby laser cutter is easy and intuitive once you get the hang of it, starting out can sometimes be a little intimidating. To better understand and utilize their laser cutters, Muse (and Hobby-Series) owners will have access to Full Spectrum Laser’s free online “Laser 101” lessons.
This week in America, most people are getting ready for Thanksgiving. We thought we would contribute with our decorative 3D printed pumpkin candle holders.
We are big advocates of DIY culture. So much so we are always looking for ways help makers become better at their crafts. Now, to us, a laser cutter is a pretty robust yet simple tool to use. But we also realized we eat, drink and sleep all things “laser cutter” all year long; so perhaps our familiarity with them may not be typical.
